Or at least your old ones.
Hot on the heels of last months successful Cables Amnesty the Colchester Farmers Market will be running an old Toothbrush Amnesty at the Colchester Farmers Market this Friday the 7th December.
En-form, the local environment charity who run the market will be collecting toothbrushes, toothbrush heads from electric and battery toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes for recycling under the terracycle scheme.
Andrew Wilkinson of en-form said ‘following requests from our supporters we decided to set up this scheme for items that cannot currently be recycled through the Council’s plastic recycling schemes. Toothbrushes and tubes are made of composite plastic and are not currently recycled through the Council schemes’.
In addition, you can also recycle your old biscuit wrappers and corks.
En-form will also be collecting these items at their office in Church Walk.
Full details of the Terracycle scheme can be found at www.terracycle.co.uk

Are you able to recycle the packs and used coffee pods from a tassimo coffee machine? There are times when I don’t need to make a pot of coffee, but I feel guilty about the waste I am incurring in using my little tassimo!
